Cheese Bread
Ingredients
Makes
1 loaf

1 package active dry
yeast
-
1/4 cup
warm water (110° to 115°F)

1 cup cottage cheese,
room temperature
-
1 egg
-
1 tablespoon sugar
-
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
-
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
-
1 tablespoon butter, softened
Method:

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Beat together yeast
mixture, cheese, egg, sugar and salt. Add flour
gradually, stirring well after each addition.

Cover
dough and let rise in warm place until doubled in size,
about 1 hour. Stir down dough; place in buttered 1 1/2-quart
casserole dish. Cover and let rise until almost doubled.

Bake in preheated 350°F oven 40 to 50 minutes, until
golden brown. Remove from pan and brush crust with
butter.
