Spiced Brown Bread Muffins

2 cups whole wheat
flour

2/3 cup all-purpose
flour

2/3 cup packed brown
sugar

2 teaspoons baking
soda

1 teaspoon pumpkin
pie spice

2 cups buttermilk

3/4 cup raisins
Method:

Preheat oven to
350°F. Grease 6 large (4-inch) muffin cups.

Combine
flours, sugar, baking soda and pumpkin pie spice in
large bowl.

Stir in buttermilk just until flour
mixture is moistened. Fold in raisins. Spoon into
muffin cups.

Bake 35 to 40 minutes until wooden pick
inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from pan.
