Blackberry and Apple Crumble Recipe
Ingredients

450 g/1 lb cooking
(tart) apples
-
25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp
granulated sugar

45 ml/3 tbsp water
-
175 g/6 oz blackberries
-
100 g/4 oz/1 cup plain
(all-purpose) flour

50 g/2 oz/1/4 cup
butter or hard block margarine, diced

50 g/2
oz/1/4 cup light brown sugar
-
2.5 ml/1/2 tsp ground
cinnamon
Method:

Peel, core and slice the apples and place in a
saucepan with the granulated sugar and the water.

Bring to the boil and add the blackberries. Cover
and cook gently for 5 minutes.

Turn into an
ovenproof dish. Meanwhile, put the flour in a bowl
and rub in the butter or margarine.

Stir in the
brown sugar and cinnamon. Spoon over the fruit and
press down lightly.

Bake in a preheated oven at
190°C/375°F/gas mark 5 for about 20 minutes until
lightly golden.
