Recipe
Ingredients

6 slices of bread
-
50 g/2 oz/1/4 cup
butter
-
45 ml/3 tbsp orange
marmalade
-
50 g/2 oz/1/4 cup
granulated sugar
-
450 ml/2 cups milk
-
15 ml/1 tbsp dried milk
powder (nonfat dry milk)

2 eggs
Method:
-
Spread the bread with the butter and marmalade. Cut
each slice into four triangles. Line a 1.2 liter/2
pt/5 cup ovenproof dish with half the triangles.

Sprinkle with half the sugar, then top with the
remaining triangles, arranged attractively.

Beat
together the milk, milk powder and eggs. Pour over
the bread. Sprinkle with the remaining sugar.

Bake
in a preheated oven at 180C/350F/gas mark 4
for about 1 hour or until golden and set.
