Dessert Recipes - Sago Nursery Pudding Recipe
Ingredients

30 ml/2 tbsp fine sago

g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter, plus extra for
greasing

600
ml/1 pt/2 1/2 cups milk

25
g/1 oz/2 tbsp caster (superfine) sugar

Grated nutmeg,
for dusting

Clear
honey, to serve
Method:

Wash the sago and place in a buttered ovenproof
dish. Stir in the milk and sugar and leave to soak
for 1 hour.

Stir again and dot with the butter. Dust
with nutmeg.

Bake in a preheated oven at
140°C/275°F/gas mark 1 for 1 1/2-2 hours or until
cooked through and golden. Serve with clear honey.
