Ingredients

cup coarse oatmeal

600 ml/1 pt/2
1/2 cups whipping cream

45 ml/3 tbsp sweet
sherry
-
15
ml/1 tbsp caster (superfine) sugar

Fresh raspberries or
strawberries
(optional), to decorate
Method:

Toast the oatmeal under a moderate grill (broiler),
turning occasionally, until golden brown.

Whip
together the cream, sherry and sugar until softly
peaking. When ready to serve, fold all but 15 ml/1 tbsp of the toasted oatmeal into the cream.

Spoon into serving dishes and sprinkle with the
remaining oatmeal. Top with a few raspberries or
strawberries to decorate, if liked.
