Dessert Recipes - Apple and Strawberry Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

• 450 g/1 lb cooking (tart) apples, sliced

• 60 ml/4 tbsp strawberry jam (conserve)

• 15 ml/1 tbsp water

• 5 ml/1 tsp lemon juice

• Caster (superfine) sugar

Method:

1. Simmer together all the ingredients except the sugar in a covered saucepan until the apple is pulpy.

2. Pass through a sieve (strainer) or puree in a blender or food processor.

3. Return to the pan and sweeten to taste with caster sugar. Serve hot.
