Dessert Recipes - Simple Chocolate Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

• 100 g/4 oz/1 cup plain (semi-sweet) chocolate

• 50 g/2 oz/1/2 cup light brown sugar

• 150 ml/2/3 cup water

• 25 g/1 oz/2 tbsp butter

Method:

1. Break up the chocolate and place in a pan with the sugar and water.

2. Heat gently, stirring, until the chocolate has melted. Boil rapidly until the mixture thickens and forms a pouring consistency.

3. Gradually beat in the butter until glossy. Serve hot or cold.
