Dessert Recipes - Chocolate Lemon Flan Recipe

Ingredients

  • 225 g/8 oz/2 cups chocolate digestive biscuit (graham cracker) crumbs

  • 100 g/4 oz/1/2 cup butter, melted

  • 150 ml/2/3 cup double (heavy) cream

  • Grated rind and juice of 2 lemons

  • 200 g/7 oz/1 small can of sweetened condensed milk

  • Grated chocolate, to decorate


Method:

  1. Mix the biscuit crumbs with the butter and press into the base and sides of a 20 cm/8 in flan tin (pie pan). Chill until firm.

  2. Whip the cream until softly peaking. Stir in the lemon rind and juice. Fold in the condensed milk.

  3. Turn into the flan case (pie shell) and chill for several hours or overnight. Sprinkle with grated chocolate before serving.
