Dessert Recipes - Chocolate Biscuit Gateau Recipe
Ingredients

Oil, for greasing

g/7 oz/1 small can of sweetened
condensed milk

g/2 oz/1/4 cup unsalted (sweet) butter

225 g/8 oz/2 cups
plain (semi-sweet)
chocolate
-
2.5
ml/1/2 tsp vanilla essence (extract)

200 g/7 oz/1 packet
of Marie or other plain
biscuits (cookies), roughly crushed

g/2 oz/1/2 cup chopped walnuts

g/2 oz/1/2 cup raisins

A
little whipped cream and walnut
halves, to decorate
Method:

Lightly oil a 15 cm/6 in deep round cake tin
(pan). Put the milk, butter, chocolate and vanilla
in a pan and heat gently until melted.

Stir in the
biscuits, walnuts and raisins until thoroughly
coated. Turn into the prepared tin and press down
firmly. Chill until firm.

Turn out on to a serving
plate. Decorate with whipped cream and walnut
halves.
