Dessert  Recipes - Dark Chocolate Ice Cream Recipe

Ingredients

• 450 ml/2 cups single (light) cream

• 2 egg yolks

• 100 g/4 oz/1/2 cup caster (superfine) sugar

• 5 ml/1 tsp vanilla essence (extract)

• 300 ml/1 1/4 cups double (heavy) cream

• 200g/7 oz/1 3/4 cups plain chocolate

Method:

1. Prepare as for any of the vanilla ice creams, but melt the  plain (semi-sweet) chocolate in the single (light) cream before adding to the egg mixture.
