Alaska Recipe
Ingredients

in Basic Sponge Flan Case

peaches, stoned (pitted) and chopped

30 ml/2 tbsp peach
or orange liqueur or
orange juice

eggs, separated

ml/1 tbsp caster (superfine) sugar, plus extra for sprinkling

ml/17 fl oz/2 1/4 cups any vanilla ice cream
Method:

Put the flan case (pie shell) on an ovenproof
serving plate. Top with the chopped fruit and
drizzle with the liqueur or orange juice.

Whisk the
egg whites until stiff, then the egg yolks and sugar
until thick and pale. Fold the egg whites into the
egg yolk mixture.

Pile scoops of ice cream on top of
the fruit. Cover completely with the soufflé
mixture.

Bake in a preheated oven at 220°C/425°F/gas
mark 7 for 3-4 minutes until lightly colored.
Sprinkle with caster sugar and serve straight away.
