Ice Cream Recipe
Ingredients

450 ml/2 cups
single (light) cream
-
2 egg yolks
-
100 g/4 oz/1/2 cup
caster (superfine) sugar

5 ml/1 tsp vanilla essence
(extract)

300 ml/1 1/4 cups double (heavy) cream
-
200 g/7 oz/1 small jar
maraschino cherries, chopped

30 ml/2 tbsp syrup
Method:

Prepare
as for any of the vanilla
ice
creams, but add 200 g/7 oz/1
small jar of
maraschino
cherries, chopped,
and 30 ml/2 tbsp of the
syrup to the mixture
after the
final
whisking, then
freeze
until firm.
