Ingredients

410 g/1 large
can of fruit pie filling
-
5 scones
(biscuits), halved and buttered
-
25 g/1 oz/2
tbsp light brown sugar
-
Cream or
custard, to serve
Method:

Put the pie filling in a 1.2 liter/2 pt/ 5 cup
flameproof serving dish and heat gently, stirring.

Arrange the halved scones, buttered-sides up, all
round the top edge of the dish and sprinkle
liberally with the sugar.

Place under a hot grill (broiler) for about 4
minutes until the scones are golden brown and the
sugar has caramelized. Serve hot with cream or
custard.
