Ingredients

410 g/14 oz/1 large can of apricot pie
filling
-
50
g/2 oz/1/4 cup butter or margarine
-
15 ml/1 tbsp golden
(light corn) syrup
-
2.5 ml1/2 tsp ground mace or cinnamon
-
3
shredded wheat cereal biscuits,
crumbled
-
Vanilla ice cream, to serve
Method:
-
Empty the pie filling into
a 900 ml/3 3/4 cup ovenproof dish.

Melt the butter or
margarine in a saucepan with the syrup and mace or
cinnamon. Stir in the cereal.

Spoon over the pie
filling and bake in a preheated oven at
200°C/400°F/gas
mark 6 for
about
25 minutes until golden and crisp on top. Serve hot
with Vanilla Ice Cream.
