Orange Mousse Bombe Recipe
Ingredients

1
large chocolate Swiss
(jelly) roll,
thinly sliced

Finely grated rind and juice of 1
orange
-
20 ml/4 tsp powdered
gelatin
-

g/8 oz/2 cups plain (semi-sweet)
chocolate
-
400
g/14 oz/1 large can of evaporated milk,
chilled
-
2
large bananas
-
5
ml/1 tsp lemon juice
-
Grated chocolate, to decorate
Method:

Line a 1.2 liter/2
pt/5
cup pudding basin
with the Swiss roll slices. Put the orange rind and
juice in a bowl.
Sprinkle the gelatin over
and
leave to
soften for 5 minutes.

Stand the bowl in a pan of hot
water and stir until dissolved (or dissolve in the
microwave).

Break up the chocolate and melt in a
bowl over a pan of hot water or in the microwave.
Stir in the gelatin.

Whip the evaporated milk until
foamy. Mash the banana thoroughly with the lemon
juice.

Fold the milk and banana into the chocolate. Turn into the prepared basin and chill until set.

Turn
out on to a serving plate and decorate with a little
grated chocolate.
