Dessert Recipes - Banana Flambe Recipe
Ingredients

40 g/3 tbsp
unsalted (sweet) butter
-
4 large bananas, halved
lengthways, then crossways

30 ml/2 tbsp caster
(superfine) sugar
-
5 ml/1 tsp lemon juice
-
30 ml/2 tbsp brandy or rum
Chantilly Cream, to serve
Method:

Melt the butter in a large frying pan (skillet) or
chafing dish. Add the banana quarters and sprinkle
with the sugar and lemon juice.

Cook, tossing once,
for 2-3 minutes until tender but still holding their
shape. Add the brandy or rum.

Ignite and shake the
pan until the flames subside. Serve immediately
straight from the pan with Chantilly Cream.
