Dessert Recipes - Chocolate Orange Fondue Recipe

Ingredients

  • 250 g/9 oz/2 1/4 cups plain (semi-sweet) chocolate, broken into pieces

  • 120 ml/4fl oz/1/2 cup double (heavy) cream

  • Finely grated rind and juice of 1 orange

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp orange liqueur

  • Orange segments, Langues de Chat, and cream-filled choux balls, to serve


Method:

  1. Put the chocolate and cream in a fondue pot. Heat gently, stirring, until the chocolate has melted. Add the orange rind and liqueur and stir well.

  2. Turn down the heat to low and stir frequently. If the mixture becomes too thick, thin with a little of the orange juice.

  3. Arrange orange segments, Langues de Chats and choux balls on serving plates and serve with fondue forks to pierce the fruit and choux balls and dip into the fondue.
