Dessert Recipes - Sinful Chocolate Pudding Recipe
Ingredients

175 g/6 oz butter
-
150 g/5 oz/2/3 cup light brown sugar

5 ml/1 tsp vanilla essence (extract)

3 eggs
-
45 ml/3 tbsp cocoa (unsweetened chocolate) powder
-
25 ml/1 1/2 tbsp potato flour
-
100 g/4 oz/1 cup self-raising flour
-
75 g/3 oz/3/4 cup plain (semi-sweet) chocolate, coarsely grated

Chocolate Custard, to serve
Method:
-
Grease a 1.25 liter/5 1/2 cup pudding
basin with a little of the butter.

Beat the
remaining butter with the sugar and vanilla until
light and fluffy. Gradually beat in the eggs,
beating well after each addition.

Sift the cocoa,
potato flour and self-raising flour over the surface
and fold in with a metal spoon. Fold in the
chocolate. Turn into the prepared basin.

Cover with
a double thickness of greased foil or greaseproof
(waxed) paper and steam for 1 1/2 hours. Turn out and
serve with Chocolate Custard.
