Dessert Recipes - Ginger Melon Recipe
Ingredients

honeydew melon

ml/1 tbsp finely chopped crystallized
(candied) ginger

ml/1 tsp grated fresh root ginger

ml/8 fl oz/1 cup dry white wine

ml/1 tsp ground cinnamon

ml/1 tbsp caster (superfine) sugar

Brandy Snaps
and crème fraiche, to serve
Method:

Peel the melon, cut into eight wedges and discard
the seeds. Place the remaining ingredients in a
saucepan and bring to the boil.

Add the melon, cover
and cook for 2 minutes. Remove the melon wedges and
place on warmed serving plates. Keep warm.

Boil the
liquid rapidly until syrupy, then spoon over the
melon. Serve with Brandy Snaps and crème fraiche.
